ONJO BIRYU: MBC New Korean Drama in Planning

After the great success of Jumong of Goguryeo (2007) and the Great Queen Seondeok last year (2009), the MBC is now planning to produce another historical drama sets in the turbulent time of the Three Kingdoms of Korea.

The said drama will be title ONJO BIRYU and will contain 50 episodes. The drama will portray the foundation of BAEKJE (one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea) and its founding fathers Onjo and Biryu (the sons of the founding father of Goguryeo, Jumong).This historical drama will show the struggles and growth of Baekje Kingdom that will contend to Silla and Goguryeo in unifying the whole Korean peninsula. Just like its two predecessor, Onjo Biryu is expected to generate curiosity and interest to the Korean audience and as well as to the international fans when it premier in the spring of 2011.
